Latest NewsKobi's MemorialWell being the best fish in the world we could not let Kobi go un-remembered. So we have designed and manufactured a stone, engraved with his name on. The stone is one that we already had, so we sketched out a drawing of his name in a fancy font on a flat side and then spent two hours with the dremel (small precision drill) and a milling stone carving it out. The end result is something that even I am quite happy with. Obviously some old stone is not the gretest thing to engrave but it looks OK, and at least we can look at the stone and remember the greatest dish in the world. I think that we will both miss him. George is on the mend!Kobi's best friend George the Blackmoor, is now well on his way to recovery after being infected with the same problems that affected Kobi. The white stuff on his skin has nearly all gone, and we think that he is looking forward to heading back into the main tank with the new babies, however this is still a good few days away yet. Once the infections have cleared, he will have a further 5 days quarantine period before joining the main colony again. Kobi - The Monster Fish Dies Aged 2 YearsAfter a long and happy life, Kobi the monster fair ground fish dies. After a swim bladder problem, kobi struggled for 2 days, and finally gave up at around 11:30am Friday 6th March 2010. Kobi was just under 3cm when we won him at the "Fenny Poppers Festival" in Fenny Statford, Milton Keynes. He lived for two years out growing 3 tanks to end up in a large 90 Litre tank with his best friend George. When he passed Kobi measured a massive 28cm from nose to tail. He loved to eat and would always dance about when we went to the tank, mainly because he knew food was coming. He will be sadly missed, however George now has six more friends to play with, Tia, Maria, Comet, Chick, Lucky, and Pluto, so George will have lots to do, as he will have to now be the parent!
